As a young child I was captivated by maps of Africa. The untamed Outland intrigued me pulling me to it over and over again.  

As my Mom observed me, again, drawing the various landforms of Africa she remarked “You know Gail, there are other maps of the world that you can draw”. I replied, “Not like this one & I’m going there someday”.

DESTINY CHARTS THE COURSE

While standing on a mountain in Madeira Portugal, I turned to a friend and said "I’m going to bring something back from Africa that will change the world".  

Not long thereafter, we booked a passage on a Cargo Ship that sailed from Greece to Africa.  

After 2 months in Kenya we decided to stroll the harbor in search of a ship that would take us on a high seas adventure.

We happened upon a gold mining couple and their 2 young children who had just fled their politically troubled home in Zimbabwe.

The couple, Gordon and Lyn, owned a 78 foot yacht called ~The Dolly Panthreath~ they planned to sail the world in search of some remote Island that they could call home.  

Their story sparked a fire within me to ask where they were sailing to next - this question encouraged the couple to invite us onboard to continue our chat over a cup of coffee.

The Family was planning to sail across the Indian Ocean to the Seychelles Islands .  We eagerly offered our services to help them sail the 1,000 mile crossing. To our great surprise they happily agreed to take us on.  We set sail across that long stretch of sea the following morning. 

We remained in Seychelles for a month then planned to set course South East to Mauritius Islands. But as fate would have it a Super Storm forced us South West to the Comoros Islands.

After landing on the small French Island of Mayotte we met an American Missionary man who invited us to afternoon tea. The Missionary Man introduced us to a pilot, Josh, who flew specialty foods to Mayotte and other remote islands.  

Josh passionately shared, in deep detail, of the captivating beauty of his beloved Country~ Zimbabwe. 

His dancing bright eyes lite up as he shared a heart felt love that he had for his Country.  Josh told us “You shouldn’t miss Zimbabwe” and ended his glory story with an invitation for us to fly us back with him on his then empty aircraft.  After that invitation~ I was ready to fly to Zimbabwe on his airplanes wing.

Within days of our landing in Zimbabwe we decided to hitch a ride UP North to Victoria Falls.

Upon our return from Vic Falls we decided to, again, hitch a ride back to the main town of Harare but as destiny would have it a Ranger from Wanke Wildlife Reserve pulled his jeep over and yelled “Hop in”. The wild-eyed enthusiastic Ranger insisted on driving us to a remote campsite in Wanke's wildlife park. He assured us that he would make time during the day to drive throughout the park. We didn’t waste a single brain as we jumped into his jeep entering another unforeseen adventure.

It was in Wanke park that a major turning point in my life unfolded. I fell extremely ill with a soaring infection and rip roaring fever~ it was the worst case of strep throat I had ever experienced.  Step throat was something that I battled every year from the age of 7 years old- right after my tonsils were removed.

My Swiss friend, whom I was traveling with, attempted to break my fever with hot and cold compresses to no avail. As the infection spread my throat swelled and my airways began to close. The swelling of my throat was so severe that my head was propped up on pillows just so I could breathe.

All attempts to to bring my body into balance failed until an Irish woman, who was on bird watching safari, entered in my hut and handed me a bottle of Emethy.  The Birdwatching woman wrapped the Emethy vial in a wet cloth and placed it in my hand as she said “it’s worked wonders for me, just hold it.”  As I clung to Emethy’s bottle I felt my throat being soothed and the extreme heat in my body began to diminish.

I woke UP the following morning as if nothing had happened. I felt totally energized and on top of the world!

Little did I know then that this extraordinary experience with Emethy would change my life forever!

AWESTRUCK

Previous bouts of strep throat usually took a week for me to recover. As each year passed my symptoms excelled and proceeded to get worse. The butt poked prescription of Penicillin was no longer working it only served to weaken my already compromised immune system.

The next day after the Emethy life-saving experience I bolted over to the birdwatcher woman’s hut and asked her: “What’s in this vial and how does it work?” She said, with a huge smile, “I don’t know how Emethy works” she proceeded to hand me a slip of paper that had a woman’s name and phone number on it. The birdwatcher said- Ms Malika will have all of the answers you’re looking for.

MS. MALIKA

Within the first some words of our phone conversation Ms Malika promptly asked “when can you come here”. I hung up the phone and immediately headed to Ms. Malika’s home. 

It was a convincing site upon arrival to witness the stream of people queued up to meet Ms. Malika for her Emethy treatments.

Ms Malika had brilliant blue eyes and glittering silver hair~ she radiated a deep sense of peace. Our connection flowed flawlessly and I felt as though I was in the presence of a long lost Ancestor.

Ms Malika began her Emethy sessions gathering a few strains of hair from each person then ventured off into a private room. In that silent space she appointed her pendulum to detect the health problems per person. She then reappeared and consulted with the individual in a secluded room.

GARDEN OF TRUTH

Ms. Malika gently took my hand and guided me outside to her garden. It was there in her garden that I asked her “who gave you this information?”  With dancing eyes she gestured and as her hand pointed to the sky she answered “it’s a gift from Him”. 

Ms Malika went on to say that as a small child she instinctively knew that this herb was good for this- as she pressed her hand to her head, and that herb was good for that- as she tapped her chest.  Her percise words pierced my core with a transparent truth.

To this day I can still remember the details of her presence and every word that she shared with me.  

I felt that my total attention was being called upon to safe keep her every word. 

SIX YEARS LATER

In 1987 I experienced a vivid replay of what Ms. Malika shared with me about Emethy. This experience was like a bolt of lightening that awakened the core of my being. I clearly saw what I needed to do and couldn’t wait another moment to start creating Emethy formulas. My Wasband asked, "what in the world are you doing?" It must have seemed so strange to him to see me moving at that rate of speed throughout the house. My answered to him was, "I saw what I have to do". Still perplexed he replied “What is it that you have to do?”  “I have to bring Emethy to the world". Not knowing anything about Emethy, that statement only confused him more. I realized that no words would help him now, I only knew that I was on a mission as I bolted out the door heading to a local Herb Store.

Within just days of creating Emethy formulas I was waken at 3am with an oozing red eye, it was burning & swollen and half its normal size. I sat up and went directly to the kitchen where I set up an Emethy herb shelf. Instinctively, I placed my right hand over the stinging eye as my left hand slowly swept along each jar of herbs.  When a tingling sensation was felt I would pull then that jar of herbs onto the counter. Upon completion there were a total of 5 jars of herbs: Echinacea, Golden Seal, Eyebright, Cleavers, and Garlic. I went to bed holding the Emethy formula that night and woke up the following morning to see that my eye was completely cleared.

Curiously, after consulting my Holistic Herbal book I saw that these herbs were indicated for eye infections.

POLARITY THERAPY & EMETHY

In attempt to deepen my understanding of energy awareness I committed to a live-in study program at the Alive Polarity Institute in Southern California for a total of 3 years.

According to the principles of Polarity Therapy, the body is made up of 5 Elemental energies that weave mental, emotional and physical patterns. Only when these energies are in harmony will one begin to experience harmonious health. 

Understanding Polarity Therapy along with other advanced forms of research helped me with expanding from the original form of Emethy’s method to new facets of what Emethy has evolved to today . 

In 1987, after extensive research, I worked to integrate Emethy into my Polarity Therapy practice. Emethy sessions were given to clients prior to Polarity treatments and the results proved to be life-changing! 

The request for Emethy formulas quickly grew greater than for my hands on Polarity treatments~ this told me everything I needed to know about the direction that I needed to take.

MY REQUEST TO MS. MALIKA

I wrote a letter to Ms Malika requesting permission to establish Emethy in the USA. Three weeks later I received a letter from Zimbabwe, with my heart pounding, I read these words: “I have received your letter about bringing Emethy to the USA. With much regret I am sorry to tell you that my Mother died and did not leave any information pertaining to Emethy or of how it works.”  The letter was signed from Ms. Malika’s Daughter.

WITH AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

With deep heartfelt Gratitude I continue to stand in awe of the extraordinary events that led me to Emethy. 

I truly believe that everything unfolded, exactly as it did, not only to save my life, but to preserve Emethy’s legacy in order to help others. 

Since my first encounter with Emethy in 1981, I have never had another outbreak of strep throat.  Prior to discovering Emethy I had strep throat at least once a year which involved a trip to the doctor, drugs & days of recovery. 

I felt then~ as I do now~ that I was entrusted with Emethy to help others.

Emethy has helped tens of thousands of souls since 1981. 

My ultimate goal has always been to help others and to introduce Emethy to those who are in need of its life-changing touch.
